Nerdwallet is looking for an Engineering leader to help manage and guide the Data Engineering team to drive the company toward clean and informative data. As a manager of the Data Engineering team, you'll contribute towards a clear, concise data model to help power the Data Science, Analytics, and Business Intelligence teams to make data informed decisions.

Provide detailed guidance on technology and systems that should be used to track data as well as the exact data that should be collected.Act as a project manager and work with PGM data embed personnel to plan, track and execute these marketing projects. Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to define key metrics and standardize their usage across the marketing team and NerdWallet as a whole.
- Someone who understands Marketing requirements and has the ability to guide other engineers to translate them into technical requirements that leads to detailed system architecture and design.A strong advocate of Master Data Management, Data Governance and Quality.Uplevelling and empowering engineers through continuous thoughtful feedback.Developing and delivering services and systems that are reliable and scalable.Staying current on technical knowledge to keep pace with rapidly changing technology, and bringing new technologies on board.
- Overall 8+ years of experience in building consumer product data pipelines, ETLs, data lakes, and distributed data systems1 - 2 years of experience managing a data engineering team (supporting Marketing initiatives)BS degree or higher in Computer Science or related programExtensive experience with Python and SQLExperience in columnar databases is preferredExperience with AWS ecosystemExperience in building self-service data servicesExperience with Snowflake, Looker, TableauFamiliarity with Master Data ManagementFamiliarity in building Spark data pipelines
