Data Engineering Analyst, Finance Data and Analytics at Google in Sunnyvale, CA

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, other technical degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of work experience.
• Experience building data infrastructure (e.g., designing architecture, building data pipelines, implementing scalable monitoring) and building/implementing data solutions.
• Experience in programming and SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in a technical or quantitative field.
• Experience working with web-scale databases and building scalable data pipelines capable of aggregating and processing millions of events per day.
• Experience building Business Intelligence/Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) solutions using SQL or similar query language.
• Experience in analytics.
• Ability to visualize business data and metrics through dashboards and other reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data transforms to build data solutions for Google Finance.
• Design, build, launch, optimize and extend full-stack Big Data and business intelligence solutions spanning extraction, storage, transformation, visualization, and advanced analytics layers.
• Improve the data stack using the latest and greatest innovations in Google's internal and external Data Platform stack.
• Partner effectively with stakeholders and other Finance/Engineering/Product teams on solving business problems through data solutions.
• Development, support issues, process issues, bug fixes and delivery of enhancements using an agile approach.
