Summary

The Data Engineering team is responsible for the overall data processing infrastructure. The Data Engineering team enables core product teams to build data products (data pipeline, dashboards, data science models, experimentation platform), engagement products (reward platform and contextual engagement platform), and business-critical metrics and reports. The team is responsible for designing and implementing the next generation of data architecture.

We are looking for an engineer passionate about data and will work with a team of engineers to solve complex distributed systems problems. The individual should bring in domain expertise and best software engineering practices into building business-critical data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers, PMs and business teams to build and expand Lotusflare data infrastructure
• Define technology roadmap for expanding current capabilities of the data pipelines
• Expand on the current architecture built using Redshift, Kafka, S3, and other AWS Services

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in CS/EE, or equivalent experience
• Experience designing and deploying high-performance systems with reliable monitoring and logging practices
• Experience with Scala/Java/Lambda and/or Python
• A good understanding of Redshift and Kafka is a plus
• Solid understanding of data engineering best practices and interest in Data modeling
• Who can take ownership and initiative
• Ability to navigate unchartered territory
• Great communication skills, both written and verbal
