Your job:

The Measurements team has the mission of leading Indeed’s ability to leverage SMB (Small Business) data to understand our business and drive hires. SMB produces a large amount of valuable data, and there is no shortage of tools both inside and outside of Indeed. Measurements lead SMB to use the right tools & data to answer questions about and understand our business.

This platform will power metrics and dashboards, analytics and insights, machine learning and AI, and feed data into the multiple products that Indeed’s Enterprise clients use. About you:

As an experienced Data Engineer, you know what it takes to deliver high-quality data solutions to an organization. Skilled in sourcing, extracting, transforming, and loading data, you are able to translate business requests into database design. You understand the value and benefit of solid data practices and how to translate that into satisfied business partners. You are skilled at eliciting requirements from a wide range of different teams. You enjoy exploring and making sense of large data sets and get excited about learning new technologies and learning in a collaborative environment. You put the team before yourself.

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related computer technical field
• 5+ years experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Java, C++, C#, Python, Go, or Perl
• OR Masters in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related computer technical field AND 3+ years experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Java, C++, C#, Python, Go, or Perl.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the following skills:
• Big data platforms (Hadoop, GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Advanced SQL scripting
• Database Management Systems (for example, Oracle, MySQL or SQLServers
• Data transformation tools
