Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new data models
  • Build scalable, high throughput systems that process more than 10 billion data points a day
  • Work on developing and supporting technology platforms using structured ETL tools, the Hadoop stack and a variety of BI tools
  • Interact directly with users to architect and design our solutions

Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience working in Big Data environment (Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Pig, Spark)
  • 3+ years of Java and Python development experience
  • 2+ years of SQL (Postgres, Oracle, Hive, etc.) and relational databaseexperience
  • Experience with a structured ETL tool such as Informatica/Talend/Data Stage
  • Experience in writing unix shell scripts
