We are looking for an engaging and collaborative Data Engineer to join our growing team of expert data consultants. Applicants should have experience constructing data pipelines and enjoy building and optimizing data systems from the ground up. The Data Engineer will support software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists to ensure optimized data delivery for a multitude of client projects. Ideal candidates will be curious, self-directed and excited by the prospect of designing and optimizing data architectures in a fast paced, dynamic environment.



  • Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management systems
  • Collect, manage, analyze and visualize data
  • Ensure data systems meet business requirements and industry practices
  • Research opportunities for data acquisition and identify new uses for existing data
  • Develop ETL / ELT Data Processes in cloud / data lake environments
  • Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures
  • Employ a variety of languages and tools (e.g. scripting languages) to marry systems together
  • Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
  • Collaborate with data architects, modelers and Client team members to deliver successful projects
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields or related studies:
  • Mathematics
  • Computer Science
  • Engineering
  • Management Information Systems
  • 1-5 years of industry experience or a master's degree in an equivalent field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience of building modern cloud-based, date lake platforms
  • Knowledge of and experience with the following:
  • Data Cleansing and Manipulation
  • Database Systems
  • Data Structures
  • Data Management
  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to build rapport, cultivate working relationships and drive collaboration across teams
  • Must be an adaptable self-starter and work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing commitments and managing time effectively
  • Ability to work well individually and in a team environment
  • Willing to put in extra time and effort if needed

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of database architectures
  • Data Ingest, ETL and Warehousing tools
  • SQL-based technologies
  • Cloud Data Lake Platforms (Azure, Amazon, Google)
  • NoSQL big data technologies
  • Python, C/C++, Java, Perl, SAS, R
  • Predictive modeling, NLP and text analysis
  • Statistical analysis, machine learning and data mining a plus
