Role Summary
Reporting to the Head of Global Data and Analytics (GD&A) Strategy and Operations (S&O), this role is responsible for the creation and execution of GD&A’s technical learning and collaboration strategies across Data Science, Business Analytics, BI/Reporting and Data Strategy & Management. Partnering closely with our GD&A Leadership and HR Business Partners, this role will establish a broad set of curriculum that enables our professionals to successfully deliver value to the organization while meeting personal and professional career growth goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement technical training strategies and curriculum that directly support GD&A’s career architecture and underlying talent / learning goals across our all of our GD&A job families (Data Science, Business Analytics, BI/ Reporting and Data Strategy & Governance) covering disciplines such as analytic methodologies, data wrangling, data quality and management, analytic coding languages (e.g., R, Python), data visualization, various tools and technologies
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with our enterprise learning and development community (Cigna University) in identifying new and innovative ways to leverage internal L&D capabilities to deliver against our organizational learning goals and objectives
- Leverage Cigna’s Agile resources to consistently implement agile curriculum ensuring that content aligns with GD&A agile delivery methodologies, goals and objectives
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with external vendors to effectively leverage capabilities in delivering high-quality learning programs and other valuable content to our professionals
- Partner with our GD&A leadership and enterprise knowledge management leaders to develop and implement effective knowledge management, content sharing and collaboration strategies leveraging best-in-class tools and techniques
- Partner with HR/Organizational Development to ensure strategic alignment on developmental priorities and roadmap beyond technical expertise including areas such as business acumen, soft skills (communication, presentation skills, etc.)
- Identify and integrate learning opportunities across our various Communities of Practice with an emphasis on fostering collaboration and sharing of best practices
- Partner with HR leadership on culture, talent and labor market strategies ensuring alignment with overarching training strategies and techniques
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of our training and collaboration programs with the aim of continuously improving and iterating on our programs and initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Self-starter who has consistently demonstrated the ability to work across complex stakeholder groups to develop and execute on strategic goals and objectives
- Motivated individual with a passion for Data and Analytics, learning and a strong desire to develop others, improve performance and achieve excellence
- A minimum of 7 years of work experience with a minimum of 2 years leading and influencing strategic change initiatives through the application of practical tactics in the areas of training, collaboration and change management
- Practical experience in Data and Analytics execution with an in-depth understanding of end-user needs across a diverse set of technical disciplines including analytic methodologies (descriptive through predictive), data wrangling and management, analytic coding languages (R, Python), visualization as well as enabling tools and technologies
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in agile delivery methodologies (SAFe, Kanban, etc.)
- Ability to lead and develop a small team of learning professionals with overall training budget accountabilities
- Experience in academia and / or instructional design and delivery considered a plus
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters in quantitative discipline (mathematics, engineering, economics) or equivalent work experience preferred
- Certificate of Learning or Masters in disciplines including adult learning, organizational development, education, etc, nice to have
