As a leading international professional services firm working with clean-energy technologies, renewable and traditional energy companies in the natural gas and electricity markets since 1996, our company has provided logistics consulting, interim management and real-time data delivery of pricing information to more than 200 clients in the wholesale energy industry. The company is seeking a full time Applied Mathematics, Engineering Systems, or Management Information Technology Professional for our Peabody Massachusetts office. The position will be a key member of the Logistics Consulting and Operations team with responsibility for preparing large-scale data sets (100,000+ records) and conducting analysis in support of client research projects involving large scale data-mining analyses for the energy industry.


The successful candidate will have solid knowledge of the use of computer software and database servers to collect, analyze, and summarize large volumes of data to meet customer requests. In addition, candidates must possess a background in engineering, general science, and/or applied mathematics sufficient to work effectively in analyzing engineering-related technical problems. Plus: 

? Have advanced skills in using MS Excel and Access software to manipulate data sets of 100,000+ records. 

? Understand database use and the SQL language in an Oracle database environment. 

? Understand how to troubleshoot basic database problems involving data validation. 

? Demonstrated ability to work independently under tight time constraints. 

? The ability and desire to learn new skills quickly and be able to apply that knowledge in a fast paced working environment. 

? Possess good project execution, project management and time management skills to track, prioritize and deliver timely results across a myriad of tasks and assignments. 

? Have good communication and documentation skills and be able to work with individuals at all levels of the organization. 

? Possess a high degree of intellectual curiosity with an aptitude and desire to learn new skills, technologies, etc. 

? Desires to use computer technology to solve applied problems and meet the ever changing needs of our and our clients' businesses.

The perfect candidate will have a technical degree and/or certifications in Engineering or Science, have worked in a small progressive company environment for at least 5 years, completed a wide variety of technology related tasks and be able to provide work references as to technical experience, performance, character and work ethic.
