Data Analyst 


• Proactively review and analyze ITSM-related ticket data and KPI’s, identify trends and potential improvement opportunities 

• Present analysis findings and potential improvement opportunities to Service Delivery Managers, Process Owners and/or leadership to validate findings and gain concurrence on improvement opportunities to be pursued 

• Provide oversight to ensure that improvement opportunities to be pursued are managed via the existing processes 

• Research and coordinate updates of SLA metric methodology/algorithms for the organizations and develop dashboards, visualizations and ad hoc reporting for each tower as needed 

• Provide backup support to Performance Management metrics/reporting team on enterprise-level dashboards/reporting 

• Establish a Capacity Management Program for infrastructure and services in a multi-supplier environment to ensure the capacity of IT services and infrastructure is able to deliver agreed upon service level targets in a cost effective and timely manner 

• Coordinate collection of capacity-related data from managed service providers and develop visualizations and reporting to illuminate trends, gaps and improvement opportunities 

Skills Required: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics or related field 

• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills 

• Creative, innovative and self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment 

• Ability to communicate complex analytics results and insights to audiences of varying technical abilities in simple terms 

• Knowledge of and experience in ITIL, especially in the Service Desk function, and Incident Management and Service Request Fulfillment processes 

• Experience implementing a Capacity Management program and/or practices in an IT organization 

• Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Access, Visio, Power Point, etc.) 

• Proficiency using and writing Excel functions and formulas, and pivot tables 

• 3-5 years of experience writing SQL queries 

• Experience developing visualizations in one or more analytics tools (e.g. Spotfire, Tableau, Qlikview, Power BI, etc.) 

• Experienceworking with one or more databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, etc.) 

• Experience with writing simple Windows or Unix batch files 

• Basic proficiency with one or more programming languages, embedded macros, or scripting 

Skills Desired: 

• BMC Remedy ITSM Tool Suite 

• Experience in service or process improvement 

• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt 

• Basic project management skills
