Job Description: REASON FOR REQUEST

Two Data Analysts are needed to support business and regional level reporting, standardize key metrics, and develop automated global reports across businesses.

WORK THAT WILL NOT GET DONE WITHOUT THIS EXTERNAL HEADCOUNT

The goals of automated reporting and self service reporting will not be able to completed without these position.

This engagement will end upon completion of work or extended if additional time is needed in order to complete the deliverables.

SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED

As a Data Analyst you will be developing SQL/ETL queries, accessing data warehouse, generating automated daily / weekly reports, creating relevant KPIs and Metrics for performance of both teams and fulfillment operations. You will provide business insights based upon data to further improve our operations and processes. As a Data analyst you will participate in requirements definition, data collection and analysis, documentation and report-out activities. You will develop reporting solutions that include, but are not limited to complex reports, dashboards and data mining.

A successful candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, is comfortable accessing and working withbig data from multiple sources, and passionately partners with the business to identify strategic opportunities and deliver results. You should have an internal drive to answer "why?" questions, excellent analytical abilities, strong technical skills, as well as superior written and verbal communication skills. S/he would be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively with technical as well as non-technical teams in analyzing data requirements and providing information to answer key operational metrics questions in front of varying levels of leadership. The ideal candidate possess a strong passion for analytics and data modeling, sets high standards, is accurate and strives to stay ahead of a dynamic and fast growing business. Above all the candidate is passionate about working with huge data sets and is someone that loves to answer business questions that drive change.

Extensive operational reporting, ad hoc reporting to produce routine metrics and dashboards for management is a staple of this role. You will partner with global teams to answer key operational metrics questions, and respond to high priority requests from business users. You will strive to continually improve the ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for secondary datasets. As needed, you will interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources.

You will work with a wide range of data technologies (e.g. Oracle, Redshift, EMR, Quicksight and Tableau etc.) and stay abreast of emerging technologies, investigating and implementing where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities Include:

?    Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Redshift

?    Interface with business customers to gather requirements.

?    Model data and metadata to supportad-hoc and pre-built reporting.

?    Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.

?    Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

?    Tune application and query performance using Unix profiling tools and SQL.

?    Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.

?    Use data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive the business.

?    Respond to high priority requests from senior business leaders.

?    Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know when, how, and which to use and which not to use.

?    Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for secondary datasets

?    Help answer challenging business questions for implementation through technology ultimately delivered to business and operations partners.

?    Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format

?    Partnering with other analysts and engineers to build analytical solutions to deliver on business goals

?    Propose and implement business metrics for senior management reviews and work with business intelligence and data engineers to design and develop data infrastructure to support business growth

?    Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format

?    Perform deep-dives to find the root causes behind variances of key parameters over a given time-period

?    Lead forecast accuracy analysis while accounting for thousands of data points from separate data sources

?    Implementing a wide range of data technologies (e.g. Oracle, Redshift, EMR, SQL, Quicksight and Tableau etc.)

?    Work closely with various stakeholders to define the information needed and how best to present it

?    Support program leadership with timely recurring and ad-hoc analysis

?    Partner with diverse global teams including Software Engineering teams, and infrastructure Capacity Planners and Logistics.

?    Drive continuous process improvement and automation

?    Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems and recognizing risks before they become problems

?    Diving Deep to solve complex problems and assist Business Partners in developing a "path to green".

REQUIRED SKILLS

?    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other technical field.

?    Strong Proficiency with SQL, data warehouse and statistical analysis tools.

?    Experience building tables and ETLs.

?    Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming/scriptinglanguage (e.g. Python, Ruby, etc.)

?    Experience with business intelligence reporting and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Quicksight, Datanet, SQL, etc.)

?    Experience with Redshift or similar OLTP databasearchitecture.

?    Experience building on the AWS Cloud, including EC2, S3, and EMR

?    Ability to work effectively with both technical resources and non-technical business owners; gather and translate end user requirements

?    Proven ability to operate successfully and independently in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment

?    Proven problem solving skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.
