Job Description

We are currently searching for a Data Analyst II in our Birmingham, Alabama office. The Data Analyst II is responsible for performing data analytics, assisting in the tracking of operational and business trends, and overall preparation of operational and financial management reporting and analysis for our Healthcare Professional Liability line of business. This position is also responsible for the development and maintenance of a data management framework, including the establishment of data governance processes and participation in the Information Management scrum team projects and activities. 

The Data Analyst II is responsible for data analytics, predictive modeling or other data technology capabilities to enhance business effectiveness.  This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics or Statistics is required.  A minimum of five years' experience in financial and/or operational analysis is required.  The successful candidate must have experienceworking with data models, analyzing trends and pattern recognition as well as experience analyzing business processes.

  Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including formulating logical and objective conclusions and the ability to think strategically and find innovative solution to challenges is needed.  Insurance industry knowledge is preferred.
