Description:The System Security Engineer candidate is responsible for ensuring that cyber security requirements are properly defined, decomposed, allocated, implemented, and assessed to produce a cyber-resilient security design solution for the target platform (Air System or Weapon System). This includes participating in working groups, design reviews, and formal artifact reviews alongside other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the overall platform; and providing security expertise to ensure that cyber security is considered early in the product development lifecycle.
Applicant is expected to conduct a range of cyber risk analysis and security assessment methods; implement patches and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to address cyber vulnerabilities, feature changes, or obsolescence; develop documentation for specific installations and configurations necessary to obtain Authorizations to Operation (ATOs) in support of program schedules; and contribute to and implement Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs) to mitigate open cyber risks.
The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with a range of audiences, technical and non-technical, and will function effectively on an engineering team to create a collaborative and inclusive environment that allows for the establishment of mission goals, itemized planning of tasks, and prioritization of tasks that drives the efficient execution of objectives.
Must be a US citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience utilizing Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG), Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) 1253, and NIST SP 800-37 Risk Management Framework (RMF) to harden information systems commensurate with customer needs
Experience executing Systems Engineering processes (requirements management, requirements decomposition, system modeling, integration & test)
Network experience that include:
* Experience with network virtualization technologies
* Firewall experience
* Understanding of PKI and/or encryption protocols/ciphers
* Cisco VoIP experience
Demonstrated ability to analyze and prepare designs for networks in relation to intrusion detection systems, management, design, and installation of servers, routers, switches, and networks in a business environment
Desired Skills:
Actively hold one or more of the following product certifications: Linux+, Network+ or a vendor specific certifications such as CCNA.
Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, UDP/IP, UDP Multicast, peer-to-peer networking, routing, and switching.
Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
Experience with leading team performance, event scheduling, and internal\external customer relationships.
Experience with documentation and technical writing to maintain system configurations and network diagrams.
Experience implementing the Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) to cyber-harden information systems commensurate with customer needs
Experience with engineering change processes and/or configuration control processes.
Experience conducting technical trade studies and assessments.
Experience working in an aerospace design environment with exposure to DoD customers.
Demonstrated knowledge to architecture and cyber security for the purpose of development projects and program wide initiatives.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
