Cyber Security Operations Manager - Cyber Security
The Penn State Health (PSH) and College of Medicine (COM) Office of Cyber Security has a mission to Prevent, Detect, Analyze, and Respond to threat activity (internal or external), information system vulnerabilities, and cyber incidents; strengthen Penn State Health’s ability to defend against sophisticated and emerging cyberthreats; and enable mission recovery more quickly from attacks and incidents originating in cyberspace.
Reporting directly to the PSH/COM Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer, the Cyber Security Operations Manager (CSOM) is responsible for managing and ensuring operational cybersecurity is maintained to enable our mission. The CSOM will develop, manage and coordinate security-related incident communications and functions throughout PSH/COM; manage the overall cybersecurity defense-in-depth architecture, all cybersecurity operations capabilities, overall tactical workload, recruitment, training, and mentoring for the day-to-day Cyber Security activities including incident response, forensic analysis, e-Discovery, engineering, and perimeter defense; and ensure completion of technical documents including Incident Response Plan, Standard Operating Procedures, Analysts Desktop Instructions, policies, procedures, standards, reports, and executive metrics.
Bachelor’s Degreerequired. Minimum 8years of experience leading and managing incident response operations, analysts, forensic analysis, cybersecurityarchitecture and capabilities such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, intrusion detection systems, proxy services, and other enterprise capabilities as required.
