Objectives

The Cyber Defense and Response Center (CDRC) is part of the SAP Global Security Organization within the Product & Innovation board area. This allows us to build the necessary resilience and defensive measures to keep up with fast-changing and steadily growing external threats. Our team helps ensuring the continuous delivery of our products and services towards our customers with excellence while preserving the security properties availability, integrity and confidentiality.

 

As a Senior Expert, you will assist with SAP wide global Cyber Resilience and DR related governance activities, including development of frameworks, policies, and planning and testing strategies. We seek an experienced professional to analyze and assess the impacts from new or changed demands, and to oversee the adherence of plan development, infrastructure deployment, annual testing and continuous process improvement to own standards and external regulations. At the same time, you will support certifications and audits and manage communications towards and collaboration with the internal organizations in close alignment with other involved teams and processes.

 

Tasks & Expectations

  • Improving the cyber and organizational risk profiles of leading companies apply comprehensive knowledge of enterprise resilience and recovery strategy development
  • Develop and maintain policies/strategies according recognized standards and business needs
  • Analyze risks and DR/BCP issues, provide recommendations and develop new initiatives
  • Evaluate options for creating synergies in offering and delivering continuity services
  • Conduct program and project planning activities driving performance and simplicity
  • Direct DR, IT service continuity, or business continuity (BC) program/project activities
  • Leverage latest trends and provide expertise/guidance to help develop creative solutions
  • Drive the alignment of strategy and solutions between units from an end-to-end perspective
  • Periodically assess the strengths of the program and identify areas for enhancement
  • Continuously improve effectiveness of the resilience and DR frameworks and components
  • Manage regular maintenance of documentation and updates to relevant knowledge bases
  • Analyze lessons learned and share with stakeholders from service delivery organizations
  • Support in internal and external audits related to disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Working under pressure and take responsibility for the outcomes of projects and tasks
  • Work on large complex activities using your creativity and your professional expertise and specialist knowledge to deliver high quality results/solutions
  • Collaborate in designing long-term concepts
  • Work independently while setting priorities and providing regular project status and updates
  • Make decisions independently and help enhancing current and future design and strategy
  • Work in a global team collaborating with your colleagues and support where necessary
  • Maintain partnerships and build contacts/networks with internal and external partners
  • Communicate relevant information in a timely manner and provide constructive feedback to cross-functional colleagues and managers

 

Education

  • Bachelor degree (or equivalent) a must, Master a plus, international degrees preferred
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNA, Project Management, ITIL, etc.) are a plus

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Comprehensive knowledge of resilience and recovery strategies in complex organizations
  • Solid understanding of disaster recovery methodologies and business continuity principles
  • Advanced IT knowledge of enterprise / service provider data center architectures (e.g., high density servers, SAN/NAS, routers/switches, etc.) and highly available cloud environments
  • Advanced knowledge with enterprise database technology (e.g., HANA, Oracle, MS SQL) a plus
  • Strong IT security or disaster recovery support background is highly desired
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross functional teams within a formalized methodology
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal, written communications skills and presentation skills
  • Professional skills in English, excellent written and spoken skills in one or more local languages
  • Knowledge of Agile, PMBOK and other project management methodologies
  • Very good knowledge of office collaboration tools
  • Accuracy and diligence in process execution

 

 

 

Working Experience

  • 5+ years’ full-time experience with big enterprise resilience and recovery programs and solutions
