Position Summary

We are looking for a strong Cross-Cultural Connections Manager to join our team. We want an innovative and creative thinker to drive new ideas, to implement in existing or new media platforms/properties whose impact we can measure. The Cross-Cultural Connections Manager will play a key role in supervising day-to-day management of Cross-Cultural media campaigns. They will need to execute on strategy and partner closely with our general market, account and creative agency partners. They will need to stay on top of overall media industry, digital and social trends, as well as marketplace news and important audience shifts. He/she will supervise the day-to-day stewardship of media activity and budgets of assigned campaigns. They will also be required to use any/all research tools to develop informative and insightful target and maintain competitive presentations. Lastly, they must possess excellent negotiations skills and great relationships with the media community.

 Essential Functions

  • Develops targeted Cross-Cultural campaigns innovative media solutions in-line with set strategies, specifically for Hispanic/Latino and African American/Black
  • Operate as a key client contact, executing strategy and leading tactical planning activities
  • Lead in the stewardship of budgets, implementation, negotiations, etc.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations, internally and to clients
  • Plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates work activities of subordinates
  • Set realistic client expectations and make every effort to exceed them, providing quality work in a timely manner
  • Actively participate in new business planning and related presentations

  • Concentration in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or Business Administration preferred

Work Experience:

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and vendors
  • 5+ years of experience in Media Planning, with a concentration in the Cross-Cultural space; Hispanic/Latino and African-American/Black
  • 2+ years of experience managing planners and assistant planners


  • Strong Cross-Cultural knowledge of marketplace and experience with targeted campaigns
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus but not necessary
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and pay attention to detail
  • Team player, with strong work ethic
  • Proven knowledge of online planning and research tools and resources
  • Digitally-savvy, active listener and participant in social space
  • Ability to manage complex processes
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Must be highly proficient with traditional media syndicated research and tools
