SAIC has an opening for a Critical Space Launch Support System Services Engineer who possesses some working knowledge of space launch systems and processes. S/he will develop briefings and assessments for a variety of Government customers and audiences and must be able to convey information in a clear and articulate manner and support cradle to grave launch and launch support activities.

Requirements:

- Extensive knowledge of client/customer/OSL launch policy and procedures

- Thorough understanding of launch vehicle production processes and practices, launch site preparations flow and day-of-launch procedures

- Thorough understanding of client/customer Satellite Vehicle launch interface requirements, launch transportation and processing requirements

- Ability to perform thorough analysis and quick issue resolution simultaneously

- Working knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle requirements

- Program management experience and a working knowledge of client/customer budgeting and financial processes

- Provide recommendations/products that reflect best path for the client/customer and OSL based on extensive launch experience

- Supports OSL Contracting Officer Representative (COR) contract management activities for ECP forecasting and implementation coordination, award fee evaluation and contractor oversight

- Supports the acquisition process including launch support processes and facilities

- Facilitates coordination of required contract actions and/or schedule adjustments
• Participates in fact finding as well as the writing and reviewing of technical evaluations for the COR

- Provides support and aids in the development of Acquisition Strategy Documentation

- Supports the program office at technical and business reviews

- Provides recommendations and insight into monitoring contractor performance

- Supports the review of requirements, budget allocation and execution planning activities through the OSL Requirements and Engineering Review Boards (RRB, ERB)

The Critical Space Launch Support System Services Engineer will focus on: Technical and Engineering Assessments and Recommendations, Facilitating IRB; creating JRR & IRB packages; preparing documents and attending MS&O facilities meetings; as well as being the client/customer rep to CFPL and client/customer SFMP

Qualifications

:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Associates and 10 years of relevant experience; or no degree and 15 years of relevant experience.
- In addition:

- 7 years space launch experience
- 5 years Government acquisition experience
- 2 years of customer/client experience

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelors and eight (8) years or more experience; Associates and 13 years of relevant experience; or no degree and 18 years of relevant experience.

- 5 years Government acquisition experience
- 5 years of customer/client experience
