Farnsworth Group has earned the Great Place to Work certification based upon feedback from our own employees.  We are employee-owned and offer an impressive benefits and compensation program.  Come, find out for yourself what it’s like!    Critical Facilities / Data Center Commissioning Project Manager Atlanta - Los Angeles – Denver - Frisco, TX – Chicago or Downers Grove, IL   We have an immediate opening in a variety of office locations for a Commissioning Project Manager to join our Facility Science & Technology team.  Position entails support of multiple commissioning and retro-commissioning projects focusing on electrical systems in data centers and mission critical facilities.  Must understand the data center environment, construction process, scheduling, testing, move-ins, maintenance events and activities, and certification/ compliance.  Project Manager job responsibilities include support and management of commissioning projects from inception through completion with minimal supervision.   Specific Requirements include:

  • 5+ years of experience in data center or mission critical environment
  • Experience commissioning, testing or operating data center infrastructure including, but not limited to: medium/low voltage switchgear, generators, automatic transfer switches, transformer, UPS, floor and in-rack PDUs, transformers, power infrastructure, and power monitoring systems
  • Strong understanding of electricalinfrastructure and power system issues
  • Solid customer service attitude
  • Strong verbal, written and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Develop creative solutions to improve reliability and drive down client operation and maintenance costs
  • Understand and experience with building automation systems (BAS/ BMS)
  • Ability to develop PM Plans and track project financial information 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% annually

  Desired Qualifications:

  • BS in ElectricalEngineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Previous commissioning experience as defined by ASHRAE Guideline 0
  • Familiar with computerized maintenance management systems
  • RCDD certification (registered communication distribution designer)
