The ICC LewisGale Medical Center will employ an open ICU model requiring a mandatory initial intensivist consultation for all patients admitted to Intensive Care Unit. In addition to managing critically ill ICU patients, the intensivists will have an important advisory and leadership role on various hospital and administrative committee that aim to improve the delivery and efficiency of ICU patient care. Mandatory courses in critical care billing, bedside ultrasonography and periodic CME accredited journal club sessions will be provided by ICC as well.
The full time Intensivist is expected to work a minimum of 15 shifts total per month, 12 hours per shift either in the daytime or 12 hour overnight shifts.
