  • General Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the commercial credit process. Review and assign incoming loan requests for analysis; review all analyses prior to issuing final drafts to lenders. Ensure that all analyses are comprehensive, complete, focused and capture all applicable risks, mitigate policy exceptions and reflect the appropriate risk rating. Directly supervise, monitor and develop credit analysis staff. Assist with general portfolio administration and other Division activities.
  • Essential Duties
  • Review all requests for analysis to ensure completeness of package and appropriateness of structure prior to assigning for analysis; work with Lenders and/or Portfolio Administrators as necessary to correct deficiencies in loan structure or supporting information
  • Manage analyst pipeline to ensure that write-ups are completed by the assigned deadline; closely monitor workflow and adjust as needed to meet the needs of the Lenders/ clients while maintaining integrity of the credit process/analyses
  • Coaching and mentoring associates with a goal of developing and retaining talent
  • Track, report, evaluate and perform financial statement for department productivity as well as the completed annual reviews for the Officer Loan Committee (OLC)
  • Assess the overall credit process to identify areas of strength and potential inefficiencies that require attention
  • Assist Small Business lender and Asset Recovery as needed
  • Maintain and review meetings minutes for action plans prior to issuing the final copy to OLC
  • Interact with Loan Servicing and other departments as needed
  • Manage external and internal loan review/audits by arranging workspace and equipment, providing requested information/portfolio reports, responding to inquiries during the review process
  • Review modification, extension, rate reset and other memos prepared by portfolio administrators / lenders to ensure risk ratings are appropriate, policy exceptions are noted as well as other pertinent information is included
  • Responsible for system administration for Baker Hill software and manage the OnBase data/document storage system
  • Assist Division Manager with various reports and/or special projects
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the Bank's credit training program
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Requirements
  • Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 5 to 7 years of commercial credit analysis or lending experience
  • 5 years of managerial / supervisory experience
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Ability to respond and react to a variety of different critical issues simultaneously.
  • Thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all Bank products and services relating to commercial lending
