We are currently seeking a talented Creative Director of Social Media to join our growing team of pharmaceutical advertising professionals. Role Summary The Creative Director, Social Media plays a key creative role leading a specialized team of writers, designers and animators. The CD Social will report to the Practice Leader, Social Media and will manage all aspects of social creative across a range of pharma, tech, and healthcare brands, including product launches and leading new business pitches. This person demonstrates exceptional talent in developing a sophisticated, cohesive and consistent aesthetic and voice across all brand platforms and social campaigns, along with strong conceptual thinking and innovative approaches to tactical execution. This is a creative leadership role with a mix of overseeing current workstreams and growing the social creative practice at W2O including developing a new, agile way of working. The CD Social will collaborate with the team on efficient and innovative processes, as well as nurture several direct reports. The CD Social will work with Social and Account leads to grow client relationships and develop overall brand strategy, plus champion creativity to advance design for their clients and the agency. This role is the equivalent to VP and SVP level creative roles. Required skills and experience15+ years of industry experience in increasingly managerial creative roles with a proven track record of success. Past pharma or healthcare experience required.
Social media expertise is a must.
Able to lead and direct a creative team from concept to completion.
Outstanding creative experience across a variety of media including digital, broadcast, corporate comms, with a recent or heavy focus on social.
Excellent presentation and pitch abilities, both to clients and internally.
Design and/or copy background; campaign or multichannel experience as well as storytelling abilities and video/photo production experience and able to “think in motion” for our animators.
Superior communication, organization and management skills.
A passion for managing and mentoring others to help them perform at their peak and grow in their careers.
Entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude.
Expert in Adobe CS.
BA/BFA or higher in Design, English, Creative Writing, Communications, Advertising or a related field preferred.
