Creative Director, Digital

WWE is seeking a Digital Creative Director to lead strategic design within its Digital & Social Content team. This creative group is responsible for the ideation and development of immersive interactive experiences in support of WWE’s programming and brand including websites, apps and Social Media experiences. Additionally, this team handles the creation of all short-form social media content as well as the design functions for WWE’s digital platforms including and the WWE Network. The ideal candidate will have strong design sensibilities, exceptional creative narrative and storytelling abilities, and a proven track record of managing a large team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Designers and Art Directors through coaching, mentoring, and inspiring
  • Source and oversee freelancenetwork of Artists, Designers, and Developers
  • Set the Creative team’s culture and quality standards and mentor overall development
  • Empower, motivate, and manage a high-performing creative team
  • Establish a roadmap for on-going innovation and creative experimentation in the marketing team
  • Communicate, inspire, and maintain project intent among all team-members. Drive the story for the project and evolve it as necessary to maintain the creative intent and deliver the intended experience
  • Collaborate closely with Content/Social/Video/Photo teams to bring visual concepts to life
  • Collaborate with Content Producers to maintain the desired creative intent
  • Drive the creative design through all phases projects across multiple departments and media platforms
  • Partner with Studio Director to lead design on hitting deadlines in a fast-paced event based ecosystem
  • Conceptualize, design, and oversee the creative production of fully responsive interactive experiences and WWE’s digital platforms – and the WWE Network
  • Assign project resources, set visual direction, and provide quality assurance on all creative deliverables


  • 8+ years of experience in a creative leadership role with a minimum of 6 years of digitalexperience
  • Proven strong visual design skills, including solid knowledge of layout, typography, and storytelling, with a sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • Extensive experience leading and designing across multiple media platforms (social, web, and video) within a fast-paced environment
  • Able to develop new, and work within existing, concepts is essential
  • Experience in responsive web design across desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Experience creating and maintaining a strict style guide and component-based design system
  • Strong client presentation skills
  • Expertise in Adobe creative products- Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects and Sketch
  • Knowledge of information architecture, usability, and UI Design along with experience of web, connectedTV, and mobile standards best practices, design, and usability principles and constraints within those formats
