Summary:

The Corrective Action Program Manager II is responsible for the implementation of the MOX Corrective Action Program (CAP) for the construction organization. The person in this role provides comprehensive disposition to Condition Reports to include data analysis and trending and represents the Construction department at the Management Review Committee (MRC). The Corrective Action Program Manager II also serves as lead on Apparent Cause (AC) and Root Cause (RC) analysis teams and advises on corrective actions to improve performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement the MOX Corrective Action Program investigating conditions adverse to quality
  • Maintain Corrective Action tracking logs and issue related summary assessments/reports
  • Ensure the quality and completeness of assigned corrective actions and analyses
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned CR (Condition Report) resolution
  • Perform Apparent Cause (AC) and Root Cause (RC) analyses as needed
  • Serve as Lead on Root Cause investigation teams as neededEvaluate extent of conditions adverse to quality
  • Verify implementation of preventive and corrective actions
  • Develop preventive actions that will prevent re-occurrence of conditions adverse to quality
  • Provide guidance and assist personnel assigned corrective action duties
  • Represent the Construction organization at the MRC (Management Review Committee
  • Coordinate training sessions and other resolution/implementation activities resulting from CR dispositions
  • Maintain the CAP database to identify Adverse Trends -- ensure CR resolution dates are met
  • Facilitate cross departmental communication and coordinate support across multiple organizations with key stakeholders
  • Anticipate and identify obstacles/issues that may put the project at risk; implement mitigating corrective actions as required
  • Maintain and apply broad contemporary knowledge of principles, best practices and procedures associated with the corrective action program
  • Support the MOX Core Values
  • Support NRC, DOE, NNSA, CBI, CPSG and MOX Oversight organization in resolution of identified issues
  • Participate in team building activities and actively participate in promoting a safety conscious work environment (SCWE)

RequiredQualifications:

To qualify for a Correction Action Program Manager II:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field plus at least 10 years experience in a nuclear or fuel cycle licensed facility performing duties related to Corrective Action and/or Performance Assessment

To qualify for a Correction Action Program Manager III:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field plus at least 15years experience in a nuclear or fuel cycle licensed facility performing duties related to Corrective Action and/or Performance Assessment

DesiredQualifications:

  • Training in Root Cause Analysis (Tap Root or MORT method)
  • Previous leadership role of a Corrective Action and/or Performance Assessment process
  • Graduate level degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field
