Accruent is looking for a Corporate Tax Director to join our team to develop, manage and grow the tax department and oversee treasury.  This individual will be in charge of identifying areas of improvement and implementing new, more efficient policies and procedures to ensure proper payment, filing and overall compliance with various taxing authorities as well as scale the department for future growth.  This individual will also develop and drive the company’s overall tax strategy and structure as well as play a key role in integrating acquired companies.  This individual will also build up a treasury function overseeing cash forecasting, foreign currency impacts and intercompany loans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of the tax compliance processes, domestic and international
  • Ensure complete and correct tax filings worldwide, including Sales and Use and VAT tax filings
  • Strong understanding of U.S. international taxation rules
  • Strong understanding of International taxation, including local statutory reporting differences
  • Manage the outside tax consultants and own the consolidated federal income tax return process
  • Research and keep up to date with any new governmental tax regulations and inform management on impacts
  • Strong understanding of ASC 740 and the alignment of tax compliance with tax provision, including ownership of global provision and financial reporting
  • Manage the list of uncertain tax positions for US GAAP and tax reporting purposes
  • Review the calculations of quarterly federal and state estimated corporate income taxes and annual extensions
  • Manage tax audits, including preparing and reviewing audit responses to tax authorities
  • Identify potential tax issues, perform research, and make recommendations to resolve tax issues
  • Support and advise on merger and acquisition activities (including integration) of the company
  • Support and advise on restructuring activities (including integration) of the company
  • Manage tax projects including VDA processing for acquisitions
  • Manage FX risk – FX contracts (forwards, etc)
  • Provide daily and weekly cash reporting
  • Responsible for cash forecasting
  • Entity rationalization for tax and treasury benefits
  • Manage, hire, develop, train and mentor the growing tax team
  • Assist with special projects as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and MST or equivalent preferred
  • Six or more years of public accounting and industry tax experience in high-tech industry
  • Experience preparing worldwide tax provision
  • Experience with managing and preparing consolidated US and multi-state returns
  • Experience with acquisitions and integration of new entities
  • Ability to be detail orientated while seeing the big picture
  • Strong accounting, analytical and tax technical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively internally as well as with auditors and consultants
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • M&A experience strongly preferred
