The Corporate Strategy & Development ( CSD ) group is responsible for shaping the future strategic direction of the company in addition to identifying and vetting potential M&A targets for the company. CSD reports directly to RTX s President & CEO and the team serves as advisors to company leadership on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company.
What You Will Do:
This position will be responsible for supporting Corporate Development / M&A / Strategy projects. The candidate must be a highly analytical, structured thinker with a strong financial foundation and must have the ability to take initiative, set strategic priorities, take ownership of assigned projects / tasks and independently drive for results.
- Contribute to acquisitions, divestitures, other financial transactions and strategic opportunities by assisting with financial modeling, and executing due diligence
- Support the preparation of senior-level briefings, which involves summarizing and communicating insights at the right level from detailed analyses
- Monitor and evaluate and key peers including tracking recent events, analyzing financial statements and preparing earnings summaries
- Support portfolio analysis, which involves assessing capabilities and financial metrics against strategy and market opportunities
- Conduct market, competitive, and financial analyses to assess trends, threats, or opportunities
- Support the development and execution of RTX s enterprise and business unit strategies
- Support integration or separation planning activities for businesses undergoing acquisition or divestiture
- Balance multiple projects while providing clear thinking and excellent attention to detail in a dynamic work environment
Qualifications You Must Have:
- BA/BS required with 2-3 years of work experience.MBA and/or advanced degree from a nationally recognized program.
- Prior transactional or diligence experience (at an investment bank, corporate development role, or top-tier consulting firm)
- Strong problem-solving skills (prioritization, critical thinking, hypothesis creation, etc.)
- Ability to think pragmatically 6 not just theoretically 6 and drive execution of concepts
- Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
Qualifications We Prefer:

- Creativity and strong oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with financial data services (S&P Capital IQ, Factset) a plus

- Ability to quickly identify, understand and manage organizational impacts of business strategy and process change
- Preferably a base of aerospace and defense domain knowledge

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
