The Sr. Telecommunications Manager will provide strategy and roadmap for the telecom and networkinfrastructure for the company. This position manages and supports voice and data communication systems throughout infrastructure as well as identifies issues and appropriate courses of action with vendors using extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This position must be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures, integrating the latest and greatest technology to create financial and service goals for the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs analysis of network and telecom needs and ultimately designs the networkarchitecture, integration and installation.
  • Manages a staff responsible for maintaining voice and network hardware and software including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, security endpoints and wiring.
  • Evaluates voice and network hardware and software requirements and provides strategic planning for adequate growth at an optimum cost.
  • Analyzes, recommends, implements and provides training and communication for Universal Communication packages such as Jabber, Webex, Teams.
  • Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel and vendors for services and products.
  • Develops, maintains and tests Disaster Recovery plans for all data/voice re-routes
  • Develops zero-based budget for both capital and operation spending and manages activities and projects within that budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of management experience in either telecom or network. Experience in both fields is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, cross-functional projects.
  • Must have problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage a team including driving individual accountability and ownership,
  • Ability to mentor and develop others,
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Must have deep knowledge of telecom industry, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize processes; Lean, Six Sigma green belt certified preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Background checks are part of the hiring process, which may include a Motor Vehicle check.
