Partner with the Senior Director of Communications and the executive team to define and implement a comprehensive, transformational CSR program to drive positive social, economic, and environmental impact. Areas of focus include:
Entrepreneurship: collaborate with key stakeholders to identify business opportunities and define a methodology to evaluate and activate approved initiatives, including but not limited to the application of circular economy principles and a triple bottom line framework.
Innovation: advocate and demonstrate how new approaches and technological advancements can lead to transformational solutions and more sustainable practices.
Sustainability: partner with internal and external resources to actively reinforce the company's commitment to ethical, responsible, and sustainable business principles and practices.
Provide best-in-class ideas and benchmarks to demonstrate how CSR can help propel the company's strategy forward and establish the SSENSE point of view on environmental and social responsibility
Develop and manage a holistic framework to evaluate opportunities and establish quantifiable targets for SSENSE and its partners
Establish CSR governance and ensure internal and external compliance to achieve targets
Draft and maintain the SSENSE Impact Report and stakeholder outreach
Evangelize the importance of corporate responsibility across the organization and partner with cross-functional leaders to instill these values within their strategies
Work closely with the Communications team to accelerate the awareness and dissemination of SSENSE CSR initiatives
Develop and maintain a quantification framework to measure the internal and external impact of CSR initiatives
Bachelor's degree in Environmental science, Business, Communications, Engineering, or a relevant field, MBA an asset
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience managing CSR programs within the fashion industry
Corporate Citizenship / Corporate Social Responsibility experience in a corporate setting is preferred, with demonstrated experience in scaling bold environmental and social responsibility initiatives
A strong knowledge of global social and environmental issues, as well as their impacts specifically within the fashion industry
An aptitude for bold and radical thinking that will drive the SSENSE sustainability agenda forward
Ability to enforce a systematic approach to mapping and understanding a company's social and environmental impacts and the stakeholders that will be affected
A good understanding of business strategies and challenges, and how Corporate Citizenship issues can impact specific business networks
Experience in B2C, retail, luxury, technology, and / or e-commerce, an asset
Excellent English and French written and verbal communication skills
