  • Prepare consolidating domestic book to tax return work papers, including book/tax differences
  • Prepare 5471/8858 work papers for numerous foreign legal entities
  • Prepare state apportionment and modification work papers (all states)
  • Data entry for federal and state tax returns using specialized tax return software (Onesource) or assist with reviewing federal and state returns prepared by outside service providers
  • Prepare federal and state extensions and estimates
  • Prepare domestic tax provision work papers and assist with review of foreign tax provision work papers
  • Summarize monthly sales tax data for preparation of sales tax returns by outside service providers
  • Maintain tax fixed assets in BNA
  • Assist with preparation for income and sales taxaudits
  • Use research tools to develop and support positions on various tax issues


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
  • CPApreferred


  • 5+ years of general corporate taxexperience (public and private) with businesses of similar size and a complex multistate taxation environment and ASC 740
  • Demonstrated successful experience and growth in the duties and skills listed above
  • Exposure to sales tax, international tax, and/or RIA Onesource preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data management software (SAP preferred)
  • Understanding of tax statutory and regulatory framework
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms
  • Multi-task and complete responsibilities in a timely, professional manner
  • Detail oriented; produce quality work that is complete and accurate
  • Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions
  • Collaborative and effective team player; able to work with teams who are globally dispersed
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn; seek out development activities to improve skills and increase knowledge; learn from other team members and own mistakes
  • Available to work on site as required by job, including periodic overtime


Blount is a global manufacturer and marketer of replacement parts, equipment, and accessories for consumers and professionals operating primarily in two market segments: Forestry, Lawn, and Garden (“FLAG”); and Farm, Ranch, and Agriculture (“FRAG”). Blount also sells products in the construction markets and is the market leader in saw chain and guide bars for chain saws. We also supply original equipment manufacturers (OEM) with cutting attachments.
