In this newly created strategic position, you will build and develop data-driven systems to assess and transform the value of an approximate 3.6 million square foot administrative real estate portfolio within MUFG's U.S. operations.

You will report to the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Managing Director of Strategy, Planning & Client Relationship Management, and will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing portfolioforecasting and decision support tools to drive transparency in future real estate opportunities to optimize the long-term value of the portfolio.

You will also lead process enhancement efforts to transform real estate improvement opportunities into clearly executable plans.

How you will make an impact:

  • Developing analytical and reporting capabilities that enable effective assessment of both short and long-term real estate optimization opportunities

  • Building and implementing industry-leading and proven methodologies for CRE portfolio performance management, with immediate goal of revamping a portfolio consisting of approximately 150 leases covering 1.5 million square feet that expire within the next 3 years.

  • Establishing annual and long-term square footage forecasts and projections for the real estate portfolio at a both a national and metro/market level.

  • Defining CRE Real Estate Portfolio Forecast as a system of record, creating a forward-looking real estate view.

  • Implementing control processes to ensure the CRE Strategy & Planning team’s solutions are clearly communicated to all key partners.

  • Partnering closely with the CRE Data Management team, safeguarding the integrity of core real estate data.

  • Crafting dynamic decision support tools to quickly analyze real estate opportunities.

  • Partnering with CRM to overlay business demand forecasting process into portfolioforecasting efforts.

  • Leading process improvements efforts across CRE Strategy & Planning, creating guidelines and tools to add rigor to scenario development, approvals, and hand-offs to CRE execution teams.

A Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field with a Master’s degreepreferred. And, 10+ years of experience in corporate real estate.

  • Demonstrated passion for inspiring change and transformation

  • Initiative to propose new ideas with logical support, vs defaulting to status quo or previous ways of doing things

  • Proficiency in creating executive level reporting that simplifies real estate opportunities for decision-making

  • Ability to deliver results through best practices and consistent service delivery

  • Extensive experience in corporate real estate finance related functions.

  • Experience in leading change in delivering new CRE capabilities

  • Proven ability to lead cross functional teams

  • Track record of bias for action

  • Accomplished in area of Financial Analysis, able to synthesize complex scenarios into simple solutions

  • Strong PC skills (Access, Excel, PowerPoint) with a strength for presenting clear information from large data sets, and in developing compelling presentations
