The UTC Corporate International Trade Compliance (ITC) office is seeking an experienced program manager to partner in, and lead aspects of, the continuous improvement and management of UTC’s ITC program. This includes developing and overseeing UTC business unit implementation of program enhancement initiatives. As part of these responsibilities, the Program Manager will oversee and track cross-business unit UTC steering teams accountable for company-wide enhancement projects and their implementation. The impact of this role will be wide reaching as the CITC Program Manager will drive the results and accountability needed to deliver strong ITC program performance. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Corporate ITC leadership team and will be asked to carry out additional assignments across a broad range of ITC program needs, including leading the ITC program and associated support services at UTC Corporate.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Manage monthly ITC Council leadership meetings, DT Compliance Councils and Operating Reviews for the VP ITC. Assist with the development of the agenda, ensuring that enterprise-wide ITC initiatives and topics are addressed on a timely basis. Prepare and disseminate meeting materials; manage the ITC SharePoint site and/or other repositories where meeting documents are placed and archived.
Take an active leadership role in the leadership vision for ITC and effectively guide operating units to develop the processes and standard work to achieve it.
Work independently to identify and deliver needed ITC process and standard work improvements. Offer guidance throughout UTC to help ITC organizations working on process enhancements. Support cross-business unit steering teams with coaching and consultation when they are not achieving their project targets.
Manage and drive the UTC Corporate ITC program.
Review and resolve international travel compliance concerns.
Lead and drive enterprise-wide ITC enhancement projects as required.
Ten or more years of full- time work experience, six or more in ITC, ideally in more than one ITC discipline.
Understanding of the core concepts and principles of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and other applicable laws and regulations governing international trade.
Training and experience in project/program management. Certification in Program Management is desirable but not required.
Demonstrated skill working with data in areas such as analysis, collection, design, and reporting.
Highly proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint and SharePoint.
BA or BS degree in a related field
Program Management certification desirable
