Corporate Director Of Respiratory Therapy at Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL

Overview

Under the direction of the VP-Cardiovascular Services, the Corporate Director-Respiratory is responsible for all functions to the provision of respiratory care services for Baptist and Gulf Breeze Hospitals ensuring compliance with departmental and regulatory standards. The director oversees the staff and resources of the department. The director establishes policies and procedures for the respiratory department. The director will coordinate and provide educational activities for the complete respiratory care department. The director possess practical medical and technical knowledge of the department.

The person is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy or related field is required.
• Master’s degree in a healthcare, business, or related field within 3 years of employment/transfer.
• Five (5) years’ experience in Respiratory Care with a complete and comprehensive knowledge of respiratory therapy theory and practice is required
• Five (5) years’ management/leadership is required
• Current Florida state license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by time of employment
• BLS through American Heart Association
• NRP
• Broad knowledge of management supervision and personnel guidance techniques
• Complete knowledge of all types and techniques of administering inhalation gases and medications and remedial measures to relieve adverse developments
