SCOPE OF POSITION
The Corporate Director, Mediserve ensures quality and safe delivery of services; coordinates services that reflect MSHA philosophy and standards of home care. Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates services, programs, and activities. Is responsible for patient satisfaction and financial profitability. Ensures continuity of services rendered by Supply Services. Must act independently in highly diversified and complex situations. Requires ability to make immediate decisions involving procurement and distribution of supplies and patient related equipment. Able to make sound decisions objectively and follow through. Responsible for drivers, Branch operations, Customer Service Representatives, Purchasing, Rehab Department, Sales and Marketing Department, JCAHO/CHAP and general day-to-day operations. Responsible for the strategic development of new business lines and the continued evaluation of existing business lines to meet the needs of patients and referral sources. Position is subject matter expert in industry trends and competitive bid.

Must have knowledge and expertise of home medical equipment. Demonstrated ability in or application of organizational communication skills. Ability to deal effectively with high levels of stress. Must have ability to enlist the cooperation of many people in furthering a program. Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communication and the ability to participate in physical activity.

Using discretion and independent judgment, this individual directs, supervises and is responsible for the overall performance of personnel and assigned departments. Assists with the development and monitoring of the budget.

Responsible for promoting good working relationships with the staff of all other departments, and all referral sources.

This position may be required to cross train within the agency. Responsibilities in secondary position may require access to medical records and other computer access exceeding routine computer usage. Access to patient information may be necessary to fulfill the requirements of this role; therefore, adherence to MSHA privacy and security policies and practices is a must.

It is vital that an individual in this position be capable of good communication skills. It is of the utmost importance that written communication is legible.

MSHA expects all team members to support the VOS initiative by demonstrating awareness of the VOS system and effectively applying it to his/her work.

Job duties of this position may require access to protected patient information (PHI). The team member will be accountable for appropriate use of the record and compliance with all confidentiality and security policy and procedures related to use, access, and disclosure of PHI.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must meet at least one of the following requirements:
1. Minimum of two years of administrative or management experience in home medical equipment and/or related health programs, or
2. Is a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRTT) with at least two years of management or administrative experience in home medical equipment care or related health programs.
3. Prefer management or business degree in addition to the above experience.

Must possess knowledge of medical supplies. Supervisory experience strongly preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills required.
