  Own overall Consumables business with strong execution of the AMERICAS consumables strategy and managing the consumables product category in order to maximize Printronix consumables attach rate, revenue, and profitability. As the expert of the category, the in-depth knowledge and analysis of the Category Manager will drive pricing, value proposition, positioning, distribution, marketing and promotions of consumables products through distribution and reseller partner channels as well as online through our eCommerce store to make them as visible, accessible, and appealing to customers as possible. The Category Manager will need to have a working knowledge of the products, consumer needs, buying practices, sales goals and market environment in order to be successful. The category manager will also develop and drive cost reduction and operational improvements that improve contribution margin.     Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 Key Responsibilities:

  • Align and execute on the agreed consumables strategies and initiatives with different functional stake holders including sales, marketing, operations, and finance.
  • Drive monthly and quarterly execution via distributors and reseller partners to ensure consumables sell-out revenue, contribution margin, and attach rate goals are achieved
  • Work with marketing to define eCommerce strategy and grow the eCommerce business
  • Manage internal forecasting; Internal and external inventory control to optimize inventory levels and turnover at Printronix as well as distributor, 3PL, and Tier 1 partner accounts
  • Understand, customer base, printer install base trends, and engage with sales to understand and maximize growth opportunities in new segments
  • Define and assess consumption models by vertical segment, track and drive consumables attach rate /connect rate. Define and execute plans that address gaps in attach rate.
  • Maintain productive relationships with consumables partners/resellers that is mutually beneficial while building closer, more interactive relationships with end-users
  • Monitor any counterfeit product activity; track and escalate issues and design programs to minimize counterfeit impact on the business
  • Consumables category management – products life-cycle; pricing; shelf-life and obsolescence
