Tradeweb Markets is seeking a senior Communications professional to lead our Corporate and US Communications efforts. This person, reporting to the Global Head of Marketing and Communications, plays an integral role with the senior management of the organization, primarily focused on driving and executing on strategic communications plans, media strategies and maintaining positive press coverage for the organization. 

  • Centralize, develop, lead and execute a robust and fully integrated communications plan.
  • Take the lead on PR, Publicity, Media and Analyst Relations, ensuring representation is at the optimum level; advancing the organization's position and visibility with relevant constituents; raising awareness, promoting and maintaining a positive image of the company; cultivating and maintaining high-level key media relationships.
  • Own the response to real-time media opportunities, assessing and managing the Tradeweb "story" on a daily, real-time basis in order to effectively measure both internal and external communication.
  • Help the shaping of the Tradeweb brand with both internal and external partners; establish consistency with global partners.
  • Work directly with the CEO. President and other senior members of the organization on speaking engagements, presentation and drafting notes for public appearances.
  • Serve as writer for senior management.
  • Manage the corporate and US communications team.
  • Active participation in regulatory affairs programs.
  • Build and maintain strong media relationships with top-tier press across multiple disciplines including financial markets, trading technology, and regulation.
  • Stay informed on industry news and flag issues and trends for senior leaders in a timely manner.
  • Develop thought leadership positions for key executives and firm through the creation of editorial opinion pieces.
  • Leverage digital and social media channels / communities to advance brand positions through original content.
  • Oversee data driven and market trend research to create whitepapers and other research content pieces to demonstrate market leadership position.


  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in corporate communications with at experience of leading a similar function "in-house" for at least 2 years.
  • Financial Services experience strongly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing successful PR campaigns and plans.
  • Crisis management experience.
  • A critical thinker with a demonstrated track record of understanding the relationship between a Company's business and financial results and how they relate to key PR priorities.
  • Passion for writing, pitching, and developing media contacts, as well as a history of placement success.
  • Ability to see the "big picture," think strategically, synthesize large amounts of data and information, and draw appropriate conclusions.
  • Thorough working knowledge of business, trade, and financial opinion-leader media (Print/Online/TV).
  • Someone capable of translating a corporation's strengths into a compelling point of view that will resonate with varied media outlets.
  • Ability to manage difficult journalists with challenging media requests.
  • Ability to dive in and learn, pivot and adjust.
  • Go-getter who seeks out a story and consistently looks for ways for Tradeweb to win.
  • Strategic partner who can easily work with a wide range of people, learn the unique attribute of each division, and understand how each could create a unique story angle.
  • Extraordinary communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to operate diplomatically, effectively, and collegially with all external stakeholders and internal colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent planning and project management skills, with a keen attention to prioritization, execution, deadlines, and efficiency.
  • Strong work ethic, can-do attitude, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to move quickly with limited admin support.
  • A team leader and a team player (a manager and a doer) who can work collaboratively across marketing communications disciplines to motivate, develop and challenge staff to deliver the creative high quality results.
  • Ability to deal with short term needs while maintaining focus on the long-term strategy
  • High level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business or related field.
  • Domestic and international travel required. International media relations and media training experience preferred .
