Function: Directs the activities of the Central Team of the Bank’s Government Banking Division, overseeing a group of Relationship Managers marketing the Bank’s full suite of services for governments and enterprises throughout a 13-state region. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage a group of Relationship Managers in the marketing, proposal, and execution of the Bank’s full suite of products to states, local governments, and governmental enterprises
  • Actively participate in the call program of Relationship Managers, to drive new business opportunities
  • Engage senior product partners to formulate strategies around additional market penetration
  • Monitor scorecard, calling activity, and other metrics of Relationship Managers, to ensure progress towards annual plan goals
  • Work with Division Manager to execute the strategy of Government Banking

Actively ensure compliance with all US Bancorp policies and procedures such as Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements 


 Essential Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of banking experience
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • BA/MBA in finance, accounting or other related field
  • Well-developed leadership abilities and strategic management skills
  • Knowledge of unit(s) and relation to industry
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Considerable tact, diplomacy and people skills
