Job Duties:

We are seeking a Corporate Application Engineer to provide technical support to our customers using Design-For-Test products from the Tessent product suite.  

As a Corporate Application Engineer you will be responsible for providing support and services to our customers and field personnel via the phone, WebEx, and occasionally at the customer site.  

In addition you will provide product instruction/training to our customers. This position will be required to sit in our Fremont, CA office. Relocation assistance is not offered at this time.

Related responsibilities include: some travel in the U.S. and abroad; keeping current on our BIST, ATPG and Diagnosis tools; working with our Customers and Applications Engineers worldwide to solve technical issues; developing and delivering Services which drive revenue and take advantage of our product expertise.

Job Qualifications:

Education: BSEE/MSEE (Master’s degreepreferred).

Familiar with VLSI design, VLSI testing and design for testability.

3-5 years’ experience with design, simulation, and verification of ASIC/VLSI circuits and systems, design verification and product test generation preferred.

In-depth understanding of Design for Test (DFT) structures is required. This knowledge should include one or more of the following DFT sill areas: scan-based testing, Memory BIST, Logic BIST, ATPG, scan data/time compression methodologies, IJTAG, and Boundary Scan (1149.1) as well as Diagnosis of test failures.

Preferred experience in specific areas:

  • Operating Systems: UNIX, Linux.
  • Languages: Verilog (Behavioral, RTL, gate level, system verilog), VHDL (Behavioral, RTL, gate level), TCL, Perl. 
  • CAD Tools: Synthesis, Simulation, ATPG, Memory BIST, Logic BIST, Boundary Scan, Timing Analysis, Pattern Compression.

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to break a complex problem into its components.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills and customer facing skills are a must.
