Description
•Review monthly and quarterly accounting entries – CAPEX accruals, non-O&G PP&E additions/sales/DD&A, ASC 842 leases, and Capitalized OH. Eventually would be responsible for reviewing ARO as well as O&G DD&A.
•Lead the project to overhaul the AFE and CAPEX accrual processes including review of potential software solutions/models to automate the processes, where applicable.
•Coordinate with operations, investor relations, and internal reporting to provide the most relevant analysis for management decisions.
•Review detailed analysis of CAPEX and present significant drivers to executive management.
•Assist Corporate Accounting Manager with development and maintenance of G&A forecasting model for use in overall corporate model and external guidance.
•Review and post cash receipts for JIB/Revenue to clear against their liabilities.
•Supervise the daily cash receipts posting and clearing of checks in the G/L.
•Manage 1099 reporting and EDI file transmission to IRS as well as follow-up correspondence with IRS, if necessary.
•Develop financial model for company’s working capital requirements.
•Research technical accounting issues and document results including policy considerations.
•Assist with special projects and other duties as necessary."
Requirements
Bachelors in Accounting; Masters, CPA, CMA a plus
5-8 + Years oil and gas industry or public accounting. Oil and Gas ERP software experience a plus
•Outstanding interpersonal skills are required; ability to effectively deal with range of personalities and hierarchy within company; must be professional, diplomatic and tactful; ability to develop those under their supervision.
•Advanced Excel abilities (including macros and previous modeling history); Proficiency with Word and Outlook
•Excellent attention to detail; accuracy highly important.
•Ability to make and act upon sound, independent judgment with prescribed parameters.
•Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while leading a team environment.
•Must use discretion and confidentiality with sensitive and/or private information or matters.
•Excellent time management skills required; ability to reprioritize and be flexible is a must.
•Interest and proficiency in detailed analytical review and analysis of all types of data.
