Responsibilities will include:

  • Supervision and development of a team of talented senior local and global accountants that are responsible for reviewing the standard costs, analyzing the standard costs and working with actuaries to finalize the reserves required for the various components of standard costs. Additionally, work with the shared service team to review the payroll journals and reconciliations.
  • Directing research and responses to internal, external, and federal compliance auditors and be able to collaborate to resolve issues
  • Reviewing account reconciliations, approving month-end close journal entries, coordinating variance analysis with the accounting teams, and providing guidance on complex accounting issues
  • Act as a liaison between corporate headquarters and other cross functional teams
  • Lead month-end close to ensure timely financialreporting and provide analysis on fluctuations in accounts
  • Collaborating with all levels of the organization on critical subjects such as joint ventures, intercompany loans and transactions, statutory reporting compliance and purchase price accounting
  • Perform technical accounting research as needed
  • Actively and respectfully participate in corporate wide initiatives
  • Support ad-hoc requests as relates to SEC reporting, operations and consolidated financials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPArequired
  • A minimum of 10 years Accounting experience to include 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX
  • Ability to demonstrate experience with foreign currency transactions

Ideal candidate will preferably also possess:

  • Oracle 12i Financials preferred
  • Business Intelligence and HFM reporting tools
  • Mixture of Public accounting and industry experience
  • Strong analytical skills, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions
