The Corporate Accounting Director will work individually and as a team to assist the Corporate Accounting Department and the Vice President, Assistant Corporate Controller. He/She will be responsible for oversight of charts of accounts for various IT systems, oversight of the general ledgers of certain shared service entities, oversight of Corporate Fixed Assets Department, oversight of posting payroll and payrolltax transactions, and other special projects as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities below should be delivered on a consistent, accurate and timely basis while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
•Approval of changes to charts of accounts for various IT systems
•Oversight of posting of company-wide monthly transactions from various subledger systems, including payroll and a home grown system used for A/P and A/R at a number of hospitals
•Complete monthly close responsibilities and maintain general ledger balances for multiple shared service entities
•Oversight of Corporate Fixed Assets Department, including review of work prepared by manager and staff
•Develop and maintain company-wide fixed asset related policies and procedures
•Obtaining and recording monthly home health and hospice transactions related to agencies managed by a 3rd party
•Reconciling net amounts due to/from 3rd party manager of home health & hospice agencies
•Provide other support to the Assistant Corporate Controller by completing special projects and other periodically assigned duties

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and ACL. Familiarity with Medhost, Lawson and Oracle Essbase (or similar financialreporting software) is preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
•CPA license required
•Bachelor Degree (Accounting, Finance or Business Administration)
•Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated progressive experience
•This position requires a strong understanding of IT systems (i.e., how transactions are recorded in various systems and the general ledger) and the ability to access and manipulate data efficiently (i.e., use of databases, etc.).
