Summary: The Coordinator Security, will be expected to perform and assist in all HSE and security efforts. The incumbent will be required to develop and implement safety, loss and accident prevention strategies. You will be expected to serve as a role model, trainer, coach and mentor for all employees to work safely and diligently at all times. You will contribute to the compliance and effectiveness of company drug, alcohol and contraband programs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, monitor, provide and enhance owned and leased properties, facilities and field security
- Conduct security vulnerability and threat assessments
- Provide HSE support to production, completions, and drilling operations
- Coordinate and conduct environmental release and accident investigations
- Complete and prepare written summary as well as causation analysis
- Become familiar with, monitor and enforce lease obligations pertaining to surface use and any Lessor or Owner rules
- Inspect leased and Company owned properties including integrity of areas, fences, gates and roads
- Order repairs or maintenance activities as needed
- Monitor pasture and grazing land to ensure conservation methods and adherence to safety regulations, standards and lease rules
- Conduct inspections at company sites on batteries and facilities, completion sites, production rig sites, drilling sites and construction sites.
- Conduct internal investigations of fraud and theft
- Coordinate with local, state and federal law enforcement, lessors and landowners as needed for site inspections, incident reporting, and responding to request for information to ensure enhanced Company safety
- Respond to all Security, HSE and owner/lessor reported incidents occurring in your AOR
- Ensure Diamondback's interests are served by responding agencies and authorities
- Manage Diamondback and contractor resources as well as unmet needs at incidents
- Prompt notification of incidents to management team and follow-up reporting of incidents through Company systems
- Document management through the use of Security / HSE database systems to manage incident reporting, inspection reports, safety issues and other applicable requirements.
- Management Security and Executive Protection duties
- Conduct company-based education and training regarding safety and security topics
- Work with Corporate, field, office and contract personnel
- Assist Corporate Security/HSE Manager to develop and implement systems to manage company-wide security and loss prevention and HSE programs
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in law enforcement
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience of verifiable experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental role
- A minimum of five (5) years of general experience in drilling, completion, well servicing, production, and construction operations
- A strong knowledge of HSE regulations (local, state, federal) and HSE management systems
- Must have excellent communication and people skills – verbal, written and visual.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Able to meet insurability standards in order to drive a company vehicle
Preferred Qualifications:
- General knowledge of OSHA, TCEQ, TRRC, ANSI, NIOSH, API, AESC and PMSHA DOT Pipeline drilling standards, and accepted safe practices for the petroleum industry
- Motivated self-starter capable of performing with minimal supervision
- Familiar with oilfield terminology and operations
- Prior experience as a mentor and coach
- Must be able to perform basic computer skills and learn company-specific applications
