Coordinator, Team Manager: Research & Advisory

This position is for a Team Manager role overseeing Coordinators and Project Managers (CPMs) who support practices within the Research & Advisory (R&A) business unit. The role is based in Fort Myers.

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Business Operations and Strategy for R&A, the individual in this role will be responsible for managing a team of CPMs who support different parts of the R&A business unit. Team management activities will include hiring, leading, motivating, developing and coaching CPMs both individually and as a collective group.

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Managing CPM team by providing direction, leadership and coordination on a daily basis to ensure the group is operating efficiently while meeting business demands.
  • Actively mentoring, training and managing activities of all new CPMs (as part of onboarding) and existing CPMs to ensure R&A programs, processes, and other best practices are adopted and adhered to for optimal performance of the team.
  • Evaluating resource allocation of CPM team and making recommendations to R&A leaders on a regular basis to ensure proper workload balance.
  • Promoting a supportive and collaborative CPM team environment.
  • Collaborating with R&A leaders to ensure that the CPM team’s efforts are in line with the efforts of the groups they are supporting and R&A overall.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • 10+ years administrative experience and/or relevant management experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment preferably in Research, Marketing, or account/client service
  • Experience supporting a range of different stakeholders who are not collocated
  • Experience leading, mentoring, coaching and training employees (preferred)
  • Exceptional skills in communication, planning and stakeholder management
  • Strong literacy with Microsoft Office software, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Ability to own, manage and complete multiple priority projects or tasks at once by using excellent time management skills
