Responsible for tracking costs and expenditures on our Leased Tuna accounts on a regular basis under the supervision/assistance of the Service Manager.

Will work pre-dominantly at customers’ site both domestic and abroad, from home office and occasionally the JBT Madera location.
Maintain good physical fitness: Occasionally lifting heavy objects up to 50lbs. Squatting, prolonged standing and working heights up to 100’. Possible exposure to hazards such as noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, chemicals, etc. while working in assembly areas and field service applications.
Supervise the other controls technicians reporting to this position; this includes performance evaluations, accurate/detailed/timely reporting.
Preparing/First line of approval for all direct reports salary actions.
Maintain and manage an accuracy measurement process of departmental performance related to assigned responsibilities.
Traveling to customer’s site to perform controls related start-ups along with troubleshooting of existing equipment.
Perform controls audits as necessary, this will include our Leased Tuna accounts; within these audits comes the ability to supply, track and record these reports for ease of reference.
Serve as the direct contact person for our Leased Tuna accounts from a Tactical and Technical perspective.
Meet with potential customers as needed by sales staff to determine needs along with recommending solutions.
Expanding the Leased Tuna business by sharing information and developing new relationships in this arena.
Writing and or modification of PLC/LTM programs to control various equipment
Assist with the development of quotes and lease proposals
Prepare reports, correspondence, procedures and or specifications by consolidating technical data and papers from sales personnel, customers and publications.
Contributes to improvements in internal processes and standards to insure efficient development of systems and products to meet our customer and business expectations.
Maintain Valid drivers’ license/U.S. Passport
Adhere to JBT FoodTech’s operating policies and code of ethics. This includes compliance of JBT FoodTech’s off site safety policy.
Recognize and take corrective actions to unsafe work conditions and or practices.
Recognize and take corrective actions to unprofessional work habits of those reporting to this position under the supervision of the Service Manager.
Focus on improving the customers’ experience in doing business with JBT FoodTech
BS in engineering, engineeringtechnology, food science, business, or equivalent academics/experience.
5-7 years experience in a technical support role, including but not limited to control systems.
Minimum of three years experience in minor modification of PLC control systems and Windows based controls systems (LogTec Momentum).
5-7 years performing controls systems startups/audits/troubleshooting.
Strong written and communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills with a positive and professional attitude.
Must demonstrate participation, leadership, and commitment to the execution of FoodTech strategies.
