SageGlass R&D group works with customers, Saint-Gobain R&D team, and manufacturing team members to develop next generation products and process for Sage electrochromic glass. You will join the control research team to develop next generation control technologies to tint Sage dynamic glass fast and accurately, as well as transform our glass to intelligent agent and integrate with building automation system to further improve building efficiency and tenant visual and thermal comfort.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Control oriented electrical model development and maintenance for SageGlass electrochromic glass
  • Control algorithm development and prototyping for SageGlass electrochromic glass
  • Design of Experiment and device testing for control technology validation;
  • Test Results processing and analysis and sharing with other team members in both verbal and written format;
  • Literature and Intellectual Property (IP) survey regarding electrochromic glass control
  • Documentation and Reporting


Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • M.S. degree with 2+ experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial, chemical engineering, or related engineering background OR Ph.D. degree with 0+ experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial, chemical engineering, or related engineering background

Competencies Required:

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and oral
  • Passionate, self-driven team player with "can-do" attitude
  • Work in an agile environment accountable to deliver results
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross functional team

Tools and Techniques:

  • Experience with Python and MATLAB/Simulink is required
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis, preferred with COMSOL, is a strong plus
  • Experience with control and signal processing algorithm development is required
  • Experience of dynamic system modeling and simulation is required
  • Experience with image/signal processing is a strong plus
  • Experience with embedded system and C/C++ is a plus
