Design, program, and install Control Systems and provide technical support during manufacture, testing, and commissioning at site.
*** Develop standard methods and designs for better efficiency and operations.
*** Utilize schematics and other drawings to develop or troubleshoot equipment on the field.
*** Provide process (conceptual) engineering and estimated cost in support of quoting.
*** Assist in project tracking, safety risk assessments, and documentation.
*** Perform pre-approval checks on hardware and software designs before submittal.
*** Ensure compliance with rules and regulations (National Electric Code, Electrical Safety Orders of the Division of Industrial Safety), machine or plant safety standards and regulations (FS), and similar.
*** Serve as subject matter expert related to Control Systems (Siemens TIA - Step7, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, GE, etc); Safety PLC programming & safety equipment; electrical drives, inverters, & their parametrization; Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS); and similar.
*** Provide technical expertise related to Sensor technologies, Sensor characteristics, Control Element devices, Control Valves, Motor Driven Control Elements (AC or DC Motors, Servo Motors, Linear, Stepper), Signal Transmission (Profibus, Profinet, DeviceNet, ASi, Ethernet & IP), model validation calculations (e.g. Safety Integrity Level (SIL), reliability, availability, etc.), and similar.
