The Solar Business of Schneider Electric specializes in delivering grid tie inverters, off grid inverter-chargers and backup power inverter-chargers. Schneider Electric offers a world-class selection of grid tie solar products that range from grid tie inverters for residential use to complete solutions for large solar farms.

The controller will partner with and provide financial support to NAM Service, finance, tender and execution teams. He/she will report to the NAM Controller - and will work closely with other team members. Main responsibilities include:

  • Provide Solution Risk Management support to ensure business functions and subject matter experts have provided feedback on new tenders and associated risks are raised and mitigated (project & service)
  • Effectively business partner with tendering and execution teams to drive continual improvements in project performance
  • Service Project controlling (revenue recognition - PoC, tender reviews, risk provision, risk assessment, warranty provisions, cost controlling, cash flow forecast, forex hedging, invoicing and cash collection
  • Conducts service project reviews focusing on analyzing performance to as sold budget
  • Develop standardized KPI’s to assess performance and tracking of service
  • Follow invoicing and cash collection
  • Analyze and communicate Solar P&L performance of NAM region (full visibility to P&L and balance sheet items)
  • Consolidate and manage service and warranty contracts on and monitor warranty costs impacting project provisions
  • SFC and DVC cost center tracking - monitor and control solar cost centers
  • Assist in Netsuite ERP implementation





  • 5 years of experience in financial analysis (project controlling, cost controlling, budgeting, forecasting)
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Relish dealing with ambiguity and can work independently with minimal supervision
  • High energy individual that is assertive, proactive, cooperative, results oriented and customer focused
  • Proven track record of problem solving and process improvement
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (preferably Finance / Accounting)
  • MBA and/or Accounting Certification (CA, CMA, CGA) is preferred
  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables, lookup functions, graphing, macros)
  • Strong working knowledge of business/financial reporting/intelligence tools (Essbase, Tableau, Netsuite)
  • Project management experience a plus
