Axelia Partners is hiring an US Controller for a global leader in wholesales servicing small and midsized manufacturing businesses.


On a day to day basis, the Division Controller will manage the Accounting team and work closely with operating managers, providing them with reliable, accurate and on-time information such as performance analysis, budgets, forecasts, and project surveys.



Main Responsibilities:

1) Financial Statements and Reporting:

?        Manage the financial operations for the US subsidiaries in coordination with the Group CFO and the managers from each location

?        Production of the financial statements and the financial documentation of the US subsidiaries

?        On time reporting to headquarters (P&L, forecasts, budgets, etc.)

?        Monitor the operating and the financial performance of the subsidiaries, the working capital, capex, debt, and the implementation of corrective actions

?        Prepare budgets


2) Internal Controls and Forecasting:

?        Work closely with auditors to improve internal controls

?        Perform cash management and cash forecast; work with managers and purchasing to develop inventory/cash plans that relate to sales and inventory targets

?        Work closely with business unit managers and purchasing to develop inventory/cash plans and targets


3) External relations:

?        Act as key contact person for external contacts such as the bank (negotiation and relationship with USA bank for line of credit and equipment financing), tax department and auditors

?        Manage legal matters in relation with external lawyers and the Group Legal Manager


4) Management:

?        Provide leadership to all employees in the finance department

?        Support business unit managers to improve their individual P&L and analyze new opportunities for business growth


Required Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA a plus
  • 5-8years' experience managing a Finance Department within a large global company, preferably headquartered outside of the US
  • Experience overseeing Finance for a multiple $100m in sales operation with several branches across the US
  • Experience in the industrial wholesale industry: warehouse inventory, forecast, and supply chain is a plus
  • Proven ability to function with minimal supervision while also leading others toward goals
  • Strong analytical, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills

?        Ability to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines

?        International travel to headquarters in Europe 6 times annually
