Controller – Private Equity Firm in Baltimore, MD

The Company:

Our client, a successful private equity investment firm focused on the middle market and providing high quality investment opportunities for world class investors has an opening for a Controller. They currently are managing close to a billion dollars of equity capital across several diverse platforms. Our client seeks to create value over time through active management oversight and support of our portfolio team partners. This position is located in the Baltimore, MD area.

Our client is seeking an outstanding candidate for a positive, multi-faceted, detail-oriented Controller. You will join a growing team of private equity professionals whose achievements come as a result of hard work, ingenuity and consistently exceeding expectations. The team dedicated to finding professionals who possesses the drive and initiative to enhance the firm’s performance.

Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in public accounting, or a combination of public accounting and investment accounting experience (Big4 preferred).
• Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to deal with multiple priorities.
• Enjoy working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
