Controller Moog Medical Devices Group designs, manufactures, and distributes industry-leading enteral feeding and infusion pumps. Through investment in research & development and relying on our vast expertise, we design and develop advanced infusion systems that improve medication safety, optimize application performance and reduce medical expenses.   The Site Controller is responsible for financial reporting, cost accounting, reporting services and banking services. Financial reporting responsibilities include preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reporting packages.  Accounts payable/receivable will also fall under the jurisdiction of the position.    Core Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages
  • Analysis of operating results and explanations/suggestions for improvement
  • Develop annual budget
  • Coordinate banking activities
  • Development and evaluation of overhead rates for cost accounting and inventory control
  • Management and development of accounting/finance staff
  • Product cost reporting
  • Interaction with all levels of the company, its customers, vendors and external agencies
  • Preparation of monthly income statements, balance sheets, cash flow analysis and analysis of operating results
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts to subsidiary reports and analysis of trends to explain variances from plan
  • Income tax and salestax compliance 

Education and Experience:

  • A B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of experience in the areas of cost accounting and financialreporting. 
  • 3+ years of experience managing finance and/or accounting department.
  • A CPA and 2+ years of experience working for a public accounting firm.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical devices  Required Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and management reporting
  • Computer skills such as word processing, spreadsheets, data base applications and working knowledge of an integrated mainframe system
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to succeed in highly regulated compliance oriented environment while still providing service excellence 

Other Required Skills:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
