Role: Controller (Contract-Hire)

Pay: $60 - $63 / hour
Salary: $125000 - $135000 / Year
Our client, a local Non Profit with a great mission is looking for a Controller (must be a CPA) on a Contract-Hire basis. A successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast pace environment.
Requirements
• Batchelor's Degree
• CPA (MUST)
• 7-9 years of Relevant Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience
Position Overview:
- Supervise Team of 4
- Take over accounting process, grant management process and financial statements preparation
- Grant Reporting (How to invoice, Familiarity with Federal, DC Government and internal controls)
- Labor intensive, audit invoices every month
- Work with Auditing team to assist with Form 990 audit
- Creating Budgets and Cash flow projections
- Meets with department heads for Grants
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and directing budgeting, procurement, investment activities, and financial planning.
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Establishing and maintaining financial controls with the accounting department.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis.
- Creating budgets and forecasts.
- Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Providing support to management, particularly in commercial and financial matters.
- Creating reports that help senior leadership understand company financials.
- Being responsible for the company general ledger.
