Job Summary

Administer and monitor government and commercial contracts from proposal to close out. Serve as a trusted business partner for both internal and external customers. Assist in the administration of agreements between the company/customers/subcontractors/vendors ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for contract award notifications, review and approval, and contract set up in Contracts Lifecycle Management platform.
  • Maintain electronic contract files and Contracts database.
  • Assist Program Management Office with the administration of contracts, including tracking on-time deliverables and invoicing.
  • Prepare post-award contract requirements and coordinate with Supply Chain to flowdown and ensure adherence of subcontractors/vendors compliance to contract requirements.
  • Maintain Proposal Tracking log.
  • Collaborate with Trade Compliance to ensure regulatory compliance of international orders.
  • Respond to standard inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions and provide customer order confirmations
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of a tracking log of Non-Disclosure Agreements and Export License Applications
  • Under direction, prepare contractual documents, including the preparation of contract terms and conditions, and assemble contract documentation package.
  • Participate in management review of proposals/contracts and program reviews; may receive special projects
  • Communicate company policy changes to internal departments.
  • Maintain effective internal and external customer relations
  • Support other duties as assigned.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend DRS’ mission, values and culture.

Our ideal candidate will have

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS).
  • Strong understanding of contract/purchase order terms and conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of requirements for and experienced in administration of government property.
  • Detailed knowledge of government contract administration duties including subcontract flow downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out and records retention.
  • Detailed knowledge and thorough understanding of proper drafting, negotiation and use of contracts, subcontracts, Purchase Requisitions and Orders and other forms of agreements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Contract/agreement briefing and review experience.
  • Experience in monitoring contracts/subcontracts execution.
  • Membership in National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and CPCM certification preferred.
  • General computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Suite and TEAMS.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years related contract experience.

The pay scale for this position is $69,714/year - $99,690/year. The pay scale information is a general guideline only. When extending an offer of employment, DRS Daylight Solutions considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position; any Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the candidate’s relevant work experience, education/training, certifications, and key skills; internal equity; and market and business considerations.
