The Contract Recruiter acts as a consultant and partner to the business in the development of their talent pipeline. The Contract Recruiter is responsible for enabling the business to identify and source talent for both standard and niche skill sets; spanning from entry level to more complex roles. The Contract Recruiter works in partnership with HR partners and business management to develop strategies for recruitment and selection that are aligned with business plans.
Consults with managers to identify, develop and implement recruitment strategies to align with and meet key business priorities and firm-wide talent strategy. Identify, attract, and recruit experienced professionals for roles primarily within the Legal & Compliance, Finance, and HR business units. Manage sourcing strategy, candidate development and execution of full life cycle recruitment. The Contract Recruiter may manage client areas that span multiple business lines or one large business unit with multiple departments within. Works with business to ensure an in-depth knowledge of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the role being recruited. Works with mid-level management to develop, implement and adjust recruiting strategy for primarily entry to mid-level niche roles. Evaluates unique recruiting sources for each search. Maintains a strong understanding of key priorities and strategies within the business lines supported. Conveys the business logic of recruiting recommendations based on understanding of key business drivers.
Builds trusted client relationships through building a strong targeted pipeline of talent for the business. Sources, pre-screens, and interviews internal and external applicants for niche roles across the organization. Sourcing often consists of extensive candidate development, networking, use of social media sites and tools to identify qualified diverse talent for roles with complex or niche skill sets. Via the screening process determines if candidate meets the requirements of a role. Recommends candidates to hiring manager for interview. Consults with hiring manager and key decision makers on hiring decision. Recommends candidates for employment, influences offer package and extends/negotiates offers. Works with business lines, HR representatives, and compensation to prepare non-standard offers. Given the nature of the complex or strategic positions this position is recruiting for, there are often offer package negotiations that may require the Recruiter to lead negotiations with candidates. Provides oversight that all data is captured in the applicant/requisition management system for all requisition/candidate activity.
